UPDATE 07/08/2014 : ALEX MABEN WINS NATIONAL TRAILBLAZERS CHAMPIONSHIP

GREAT NEWS!!
TOP FORM ALEX MABEN WINS NATIONAL TRAILBLAZERS CHAMPIONSHIP

Local girl Alex Maben and her pony Charlie, who regularly compete successfully in Dressage competitions at Lane Farm has won the Prelim 13 Championship in section 2 of the Trailblazers Junior Dressage Championship finals at Stoneleigh last week.
Trailblazers Championships is a National event so this means our own Alex and Charlie are the best winning combination in the country at junior level in their section.
Lane Farm includes Trailblazers qualifiers in their monthly unaffiliated dressage competitions which are usually held the first Sunday in the month. Qualifying at Lane Farm and flying the flag for Lane Farm and Northumberland, Alex and mum Halcyon travelled to the National Championships with no expectations but to experience the big time competing
in a National Championship. “ To come home with a first place was just the icing on the cake,” said mum Halcyon. “She had to ride a total of five tests over three days in scorching hot temperatures on a “Fizzy Charlie”, so was delighted to win this class. They also scored a 68.57 in the Novice test but it wasn’t enough to gain a placing (the winner was on 72%) so it shows how tight a contest it was and the high standard of the Juniors.”
How proud we are at Lane Farm of Alex and Charlie. This demonstrates with hard work, training, not to mention talent and the opportunity to compete and qualify at a local competition centre such as Lane Farm; just what you can achieve.
Well done Alex and all our Trailblazers qualifiers out there!
Just to mention in the same week Alex came back to Lane Farm on the Sunday and won 4 more classes!!
Prelim 4 and 7 with her second ride, the young Glancerin Fflach and Novice 27 and 28 on her beloved Charlie, brilliant riding Alex.
HAPPY DRESSAGING EVERYBODY … LFE
