Our October Fun and Club Show was a special event. Celebrating every class with a trophy our riders were really keen to get on with the job in hand and win a coveted trophy. A wonderful day with unaffiliated classes and British Showjumping Club classes.
The high point of the day was a celebration of our riders/Champions who competed at the Championships at Bishop Burton, our Shooting Stars Summer Series Award Winners and unltimately our Leading Showjumper of the Year Awards for 2013.
This award goes to the Leading Rider in the Horse Section and Pony Section of the Shooting Stars Year.
Jennifer Telfer and Midget Gem (Midgy) were our worthy Champions in the Horse Section and Jodie Leigh Beckham with Captain Black Jack were our Champions in the Pony Section. Jodie couldn't make our Celebration but will receive her award on Wednesday night at Shooting Stars.
Both Jennifer and Jodie gave their all Wednesday night after Wednesday night and put in some jaw dropping moves, entertaining us every week. They are worthy winners - thank you Leading Showjumpers of the Year.
We also gave an award of achievement to Jamie Davison and What a Corker. Jamie is the epitomy of what British Showjumping Club jumping is about. Jamie started jumping 70cm tracks a couple of years ago and is now jumping 1m tracks. Promoting confidence and encouraging young riders and adults to pursue their interest in showjumping. Jamie has then gone on to win the 80cm and 90cm Club league. He did very well in the Championship Classes at Bishop Burton and was presented with other Club Champions at the National Showjumpers Ball in Birmingham last week on the eve of the Horse of the Year Show. Jamie is now in a position where he is stepping up a gear to horses and National Showjumping. Alex Deighton with Ochil Star is another example of a Club member progressing to higher levels.
Thank you everyone who came on Sunday and Well Done Everyone and continue to Jump for Joy ... hope you enjoy our photos below of our happy Celebration Fun and Club
